The head of the Commission of Detainees' Affairs,  Qaddura Fares, condemned the the sentence issued by the Israeli court against the activist Aya Khatib, 33, from the lands occupied in 1948, who is detained since March 2020.

Fares stated that sentencing Aya to 4 years of imprisonment reflects the vulnerability of the occupation and its judiciary system,  subordinate to the Israeli military devices, which lacks humanitarian and ethical principles in dealing with the Palestinian people,  especially detainees.

Fares also confirmed that arresting a Palestinian woman and filing an indictment of "providing information that affect the security of Israel, contacting a foreign agent and raising funds to support terrorism" , exposes the fascist extremism of Israel, which insists on dividing the Palestinian people by all means.

Fares pointed out that these deterrent sentences won't stop the Palestinian woman from participating in resisting the occupation, and he paid tribute to Aya Khatib and her companions at Damoun prison, who proved their steadfastness and challenge.

Fares expressed the real endeavors to intensify efforts with all organisations and factions to expose the Israeli violations against them.

The head of the Commission of Detainees' Affairs,  Qaddura Fares, stated that the accelerated incidents in Israeli prisons and the policy of torture and provocation implemented by the administration of prisons forces us to think seriously to find out a new approach to expose the occupation's crimes committed against our detainees, in order to snatch their confiscated rights by all means.

Fares pointed out that the variable statistics of detainees figures and their difficult circumstances, need intense work by organisations and Islamic and national factions to take advantage of the deep experiences of the Captive Movement and former detainees, which might help in creating new methods of support and solidarity to this fair cause.

Moreover, Fares indicated that the childish behaviours of the so-called minister of national security,  Itamar Ben-Gvir,  and the fascist extremists reflect the vulnerability of this entity.

Furthermore, Fares stated that the visit of Ben Gvir to Negev prison to provoke detainees, confirms that the emptiness of this entity can't be escaped from unless they implement more attacks against our steadfast strugglers.

Fares stressed on the necessity of denying the Israeli gangsters state, and to treat the Palestinian people with justice by getting rid of the occupation, stopping daily murder and execution and ending the suffering of detainees.
He emphasized that the next stage will witness a new method of confrontation inside and outside prisons, and the international community should bear full responsibility for upcoming situations.
