Aggressive campaign of arrests against Palestinians from the lands occupied in 1948, and filed indictment against 116 of them

The Commission of Detainees' Affairs expressed its deep concern from the continuous Israeli aggressive attack against the Palestinian people, who were targeted through the past few weeks in a revengeful racist way in the lands occupied in 1948, Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The commission explained that the occupation forces conducted a brutal campaign of arrests against Palestinians recently, since the beginning of the Palestinian protest and refusal of the Israeli systematic policy of oppression, especially at Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. There is an Israeli plan to expel Palestinians from their houses, which led to launching marches protesting against the fascism decisions of the occupation.

The commission revealed that the total number of arrest cases in the lands occupied in 1948 is nearly 800 cases, where indictments have been filed against 116 of them, in addition to hundreds of cases in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The occupation authorities used brutal methods during the recent incidents, where Palestinians were attacked by beat, sticks, wastewater, sound bombs, tear gas and live ammunition.

The commission stated that the abusive attacks against our people are just an unsuccessful attempt to break our will and prevent us from defending our rights, lands and homes.

The commission called on the international society and human rights organizations to hold Israel accountable on its crimes and violations against the Palestinians.
