The Head of the Commission of Detainees' Affairs stated that 300 detainees have been infected since the beginning of the epidemic, where four of them got transferred to hospitals, including two that were transferred yesterday and today in serious conditions.

He also stated that 75% of detainees took the vaccine of coronavirus, and some of them refused. Regarding the sick detainees, the administration of prisons said it will study their health conditions and then decide whether to give the vaccine or not.

Abu Baker confirmed that the Commission sent a letter in many languages to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Health Organization urging them to intervene and save detainees' lives.
