The Israeli authorities punish detainees in many ways such as repressing their freedom and suppress them and their families, in additio, they tend to blackmail them with millions of dollars annually.

In this context, the Commission of Detainees' Affairs manifested the crul situation lived by detainees in Megiddo prison, and confirmed that the Israeli authorities intended to turn many central prisons into commercial centres.

The Commission pointed out that detainees in Megiddo prison suffer from high prices imposed by the prisons administration in the canteen, especially that detainees have lack in bed covers and they need to buy 4 covers, where each cover costs more than 100 NIS.

The Commission called on international organisations to intervene and stop the financial exploiting against detainees, which contradicts all international laws and agreements, and oblige the administration of prisons to allow detainees families provide their sons with the stuff they need.
