🔺Martyrdom of two detainees from Gaza Strip, including Dr. Adnan Ahmad Borsh, the head of orthopedic section at Shifa Hospital

Ramallah- The Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Society Prisoner’s Club announced the martyrdom of two detainees from Gaza Strip : Dr. Adnan Ahmad Ateya Borsh, 50, from Jabalia refugee camp, the head of orthopedic section at Shifa Hospital, and Ismael Abdulbari Rajab Khader, 33.
The Commission and the Prisoner’s Club stated in a joint report issued today that Dr. Borsh has been arrested by the occupation forces on December 2023, while being at Awda Hospital along with several doctors. He martyred in 19/4/2024, in Ofer prison, according to the Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs, and his remain is still withheld. It is worth mentioning that the martyr has been wounded during his presence at Indonesian Hospital 5 months ago.
The second martyr is Ismael Abdulbari Rajab Khader, 33, who was martyred after his arrest, according to information provided, where his corpse was delivered today along with tens of detainees from Gaza Strip, who were released at Karm Abu Salem border, as announced by General Authority for Crossings and Borders in Gaza.
The Commission and the Prisoner’s Club confirmed that both detainees were martyred due to medical crimes and torture, in the light of the continuation of the “forcible hide” crime committed against them, and emphasized that what happened with Dr. Borsh in particular is a deliberate assassination, coming within a systematic targeting process against physicians and the health care system in Gaza. A case in point is the aggression against Shifa Hospital and its medical staff, and the consequent vandalism to the hospital, in addition to turning it into a cemetery, where hundreds of people have been killed and arrested there.
The Commission, the Prisoner’s Club and the National Captive Movement mourned both martyrs Borsh and Khader, who joined Palestinian martyrs for the sake of their freedom, and stated that with the loss of Dr. Borsh we are losing a struggler national figure, who remained on duty for tge last moment, moving from hospital to another inside Gaza to treat wounded people, until he had been arrested by the Israeli occupation forces at Awda Hospital on December 2023.
With their martyrdom, the number of detainees who martyred in Israeli prisons due to torture, starvation and medical crimes stands at (18), whose martyrdom eas announced by the Israeli authorities. Moreover, the Israeli media publish a press report announcing the martyrdom of (27) detainees at least in Israeli prisons and military camps , without revealing their identities.
With the continuation of the “forcible hide” crime against detainees from Gaza, the number of martyrs will increase, in the light of testimonies of torture and brutal crimes by liberated detainees and torture marks apparent on their bodies, on addition to videos published during the ground invasion that included terrible scenes, such as detention operations for hundreds of Gazan people while being naked and held in degrading conditions.
The provided information on detainees from Gaza still insufficient, regarding their figures, identities and places of detention, where the sole information announced by the IPS is the 849( illegal fighters).
It should be noted that the group of detainees released from Ofer prison, have mentioned section (23), in which detainees from Gaza are held, and spoke about the acts of torture and humiliation by armed special forces who invade the section.
The Commission and the Prisoner’s Club pointed out that despite the calls and demands for international human rights organizations to stop the crimes of forcible hide, no body cares.
