The Commission of Detainees' Affairs reviewed in a report issued today the details of the brutal break in implemented at Jelboa prison last week.
According to detainees' testimonies, the prison witnessed a state of tension after breaking in the rooms of detainees under the pretext of making inspections, where they were attacked, humiliated and their belongings have been destroyed.
The report revealed the injury of five detainees: Yousef Nazzal, Omar Jundub, Tahseen Salameh, Ahmad Azzouni and Jehad Abu Zahra.
The commission stated that detainees announced the state of maximum alert after this attack. In response, the administration of prison imposed a series of punitive measures against detainees, where they closed many rooms and confiscated all electric devices.
The commission also confirmed that the tension prevails in prison and detainees complain about the destruction caused by the break in, and that the administration insists on keeping the jamming devices installed in prisons.

The commission pointed out that these incidents came as part of the clear systematic policy practiced by the administration of prison to disturb detainees and impose punishments against them. This is considered a flagrant violation of all international laws and standards, which expose the arbitrary practices against Palestinian detainees.
