The Commission of Detainees' Affairs stated that 22 detainees at Remon prison started a hunger strike yesterday against the administration's disclaim on the agreement concluded last week to remove jamming devices from prison's sections.
The commission pointed out that after announcing the strike of the first group against jamming devices, the administration commanded the forces to break in section 1 and 4 and moved all detainees to the solitary confinement in Nafaha prison.
More than 200 detainees at Remon prison entered a hunger strike for one day, demanding to remove the jamming devices. After a discussion between the administration and detainees' representatives, an agreement concluded to suspend the strike in return of responding to detainees' demands. However, the administration still procrastinates in implementing the agreement.
The commission condemned the inflexibility of the prisons' administration in responding to the simplest life and human demands of detainees.
