🔴 *The occupation authorities issued a decision to release detainee Hiba Zaid with a bail of 7000 NIS*
Ramallah- The military court of Ofer issued a decision to release detainee Hiba Saleh Zaid, 34, from Dair Ammar refugee camp/ Ramallah, with a bail of 7000 NIS.
The Commission and the Prisoner’s Club stated that Zaid has been arrested in 12/3/2024, from a military checkpoint, under claims of incitement on social media.
The Commission and the Prisoner’s Club confirmed that the Israeli authorities escaped detention operations unprecedentedly since October 7 under the charge of incitement, noting that there is no precise definition of the “incitement”. However, detention against women has increased lately under the charge of incitement, as most of women detainees are held under the same charge, and if the Israeli occupation authorities could not accuse them with incitement they got sentenced to administrative detention.
It is worth mentioning that there are currently (71) women detainees held in Israeli prisons, including (7) from Gaza. Moreover, there are many women detainees from Gaza held in military camps under the policy of forcible hide, and there is no clear information about their numbers or identities.
