The Fatah Movement and the Commission of Detainees' Affairs called on the international community and its all organizations and institutions to instantly oblige the Israeli government to release all detainees, especially those who have chronic diseases and elderly detainees, who are considered the most vulnerable in light of the spread of Coronavirus. They stressed, in a joint declaration, that this call which holds many risks and concerns on our detainees, comes in a crucial stage, preceded by a real catastrophe in the history, whose victims are more than 5.000 Palestinian and Arab detainees in the prisons and detention centers of the occupation, in light of the high increase of Coronavirus cases in the occupying state. Fatah Movement and the Commission of detainees revealed that in light of uniting all aspects of the occupying state to confront this crisis and take all necessary procedures to protect the Israelis, Palestinian detainees are left as victims to this virus in prisons that lack the minimum elements of human life. In addition, the Israeli government did not take any preventive procedures to protect detainees and did not provide sanitizers and other preventive stuff. However, the administration of prison withdrew 140 kind of the cantina stuff, the most of them are cleaning stuff and sanitizers. They added "the real danger lies in the decision of the prison administration of preventing the sick detainees from going to the clinics of the prisons, where they are deprived of medicine and treatment, which constitute risk on 700 sick detainees who need daily health care. Fatah Movement and the Commission of detainees pointed out that the Israeli occupation committed tens of massacres against the Palestinian people, and stressed that the international community should not allow itself to be a witness to a new Israeli massacre against our detainees. Our call under the name of detainees and their families: "save 43 women detained at Damoun prison, save 200 minors at Ofer, Damoun and Megiddo prisons, save 700 sick detainees including 18 who are currently held at Al-Ramla clinic,, save all detainees,,, we call on you to do your duties and obligations,, today we call on you to refuse the racism of the occupation,, be bold and stop your silence." Fatah Movement and the Commission of detainees pay tribute to our Palestinian people and its leadership on the unique international status formed by the President Mahmoud Abbas and the government in confronting the crisis of Coronavirus. They also pay tribute to our detainees behind the bars of the occupations and confirmed the stable Palestinian attitude towards the cause of detainees, and stated that they will continue to mobilize all local, regional and international efforts to defend and support detainees.
