The Commission of Detainees' Affairs stated that sick detainees live in difficult circumstances due to the deliberate medical ignorance by the administration of prisons.
A case in point is the detainee Imad Kmail (55 years), from Qabatya/ Jenin. He suffers from many chronic diseases, such as stomach pains and urinary tract infections. The administration of prisons gives him only painkillers without providing the proper health care. He also suffers from nasal sinuses, breathing disorders and weak sense of smelling.
Another case in point is the detainee Ibrahim Ighnaimat, (42 years) from Surif/ Hebron. He suffers from weakness in heart muscle and needs to install a pacemaker. However, the administration of Remon prison procrastinates in the process of the operation, where his health condition requires an immediate operation.
The last case in point is the detainee Munther Ighbaryeh, (55 years) from Tulkarem. He suffers from obstruction in tear duct, and there is a while material in his eye. He needs an urgent surgery in his eye, but the administration of Jelboa prison refuses.
